To feel a sense of purpose and a sense of progress in life is key to feeling happy, connected and productive.  But in a time when physical distancing is expected and many have either lost their job or are attempting to maintain productivity working from home, how can we achieve that all important sense of progress? By contributing to the solution!

Join Jan Bailey of Ovation and Kimberly Schaschl, a certified counselling therapist, as they discuss people’s desire to find a way to be contributing to the solution in this volatile time of change.  As factories re-tool their equipment and the haute couture fashion world makes hospital garments, it is clear that people’s minds are on ways to reinvent what they do and what they can offer.  In this no-pressure discussion, discover simple ways you can ensure you are feeling some sense of productivity and direction in a time when very little can be considered a certainty.

If you have previously worked from home, stayed home with young children or have experienced a time of unemployment or underemployment, you may well understand the feeling of listlessness or lack or direction that comes with feeling unproductive.  For many others, however, being forced to stay home whether they are employed or not, is a new and not necessarily welcome experience which can challenge their sense of self worth.  That is the situation many of us find ourselves in now; in a completely new working environment or not working at all.  So again, how can we find, in this current reality, a sense of productivity, and progress?  The answer is contribution.  Contributing to a cause and positioning yourself as part of the solution has an uncanny way of elevating your mood and helping you feel productive in a time of uncertainty and emotional and financial strain.
